Robot vacuums and mops are getting more efficient. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and can handle different flooring. Look for models that allow you to choose from multiple modes, use their charging dock to self-empty and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, create schedules and select cleaning options.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of rooms and floors.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to map the downstairs area, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, along with medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it reached carpet or rug.
After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills the water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank regularly to prevent it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an effective solution for your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with a number of innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply drag a pad across a surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good, with a pair spinning mop pads that are able to lift and scrub floors instead of moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled at the top of the station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is a great choice on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the most filthy areas well, and eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that is placed along baseboards.

K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that helps it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums can't.
