It also comes with mop lifter technology which lifts the pad automatically as it changes between tile and laminate hardwood, carpet or rugs, in order to avoid soaking soft surfaces.
Additionally it is also the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying functions. The pad can be cleaned and dried in the dock and the dust container will get emptied and automatically returned to it. This means you can put it away and forget about it, and only need to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank occasionally.
All of this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. I tested it with its normal vac and mop settings for approximately 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and returned to its base to recharge. This is not far off of the 180 minutes Roborock claims, and is on par with other hybrids that I've tried.
This is a highly well-rounded and capable product, with the only drawback being that it's costly. The number of features make it an appealing choice for anyone who is looking to replace their old stick vacuums and mops. We would highly recommend this vacuum when you can justify its cost.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo. Its premium price tag is justified by its powerful feature set, which includes a large vacuuming capacity and two gyrating mop mops. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller and an advanced obstacle-avoidance system.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combinations out there at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed admirably across the entire home. It was able to remove 98.4 percent of the debris on all types of floors and managed to lift hair that was long without tangling. The mops also performed well in delivering outstanding cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models due to their rotational motion and an incredibly strong cleaning solution.
The docking station is the primary selling aspect of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and sophisticated. The dock empties its dustbin into dirt bag, fills its water tank to enable mopping, and dry the mop pads for you. It is equipped with a real-time danger detection system, and its sophisticated controls let you schedule regular cleaning sessions.
The L10S Ultra does not offer better performance for removing carpet debris when compared to the other hybrid mop I tried. The mops of the L10S Ultra are not as effective at removing stubborn stains as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's premium features, it requires regular maintenance. To prevent mildew or unpleasant odors, the base unit dustbag, water and tanks must be cleaned regularly, emptied, and dried. It is also important to note that the mop pads which are bought separately are required to be replaced regularly too.
With the L10S Ultra's high-end price tag and extensive functionality I would recommend it to anyone with the funds for it. For those who are on a tighter budget, I suggest a more rudimentary model that will allow you to save money while still enjoying hands-free cleaning at home. It's important to note that even if the L10S Ultra is the best mop and robotic vacuum you can purchase, its high purchase cost and maintenance costs will eventually make it more of a want than a need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that will clean up dust and dirt on your hard floors, while cleaning up wet mess, then look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop set-up comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power. It also boasts an enormous battery capacity that can be used for mopping and vacuuming. It's also fitted with an excellent obstacle-avoidance system. It has a mop with a roller that cleans by itself, making it stand out among other models that require you to return to the base station to wash the mop pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller is almost entire length of the bot, and it is constantly filled with ozonated, clean water from its dock. As it rotates, the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt and any dry debris is picked up by the side brushes or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro is able to dump dirty mop water in its base station, where it is sucked in by the heater elements of the tank and empty into a larger storage container. The tank onboard holds a good amount of water, and it can manage about a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.
As with most robotic vacuums and mop combos like the S1 Pro is ready to roll out from the box. The S1 Pro needs to be filled with clean water. This is easily accomplished in the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock if you prefer to have the option of using your own brand of cleaner. If you choose this feature however, you'll need to buy the Eufy-branded cleaning solution which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow you to choose your preferred brand of cleaning products.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and navigation efficiency tests, as did most robots. It was quick to map out a area and was able to navigate around furniture. It got stuck on carpets with larger piles a few times during my tests. However this could be improved by re-updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very powerful robot that can be bought at an affordable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock’s entry-level vacuum and mop but it does have some impressive features. The dock's multi-function function is emptying the robot's dirtbag and refilling its water tanks and cleaning and sanitizing the mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of an area before returning to its dock, and the vacuum's extreme suction is capable of removing debris and pet hair from carpets.
The application that runs the appliance is quite complex, with a broad variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can clean manually all areas mapped by this device or choose individual rooms, zones that can be expanded, or a routine you've developed. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It utilizes the sensors on the mop to map the space and determine the most efficient method to clean it.
Like the other Roborock models we've examined The Qrevo is a great performer in our tests. Its navigation system works well in locating rooms quickly and cleaning them in a well-organized manner. Its 'Normal' pathing setting does a great job of covering a space, with no major gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is quite reliable, too although it's not as sophisticated as the color camera system of the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect hazards like carpets with thick padding, but might not be able to identify smaller objects like electrical wires and rug tassels.
The one glaring flaw of this model is the absence of a mop-after-vacuum option, which could be an issue for those who do a lot of vacuuming before cleaning their robot. There's a simple solution: The app offers an option that lets you "clean up" at the conclusion of every vacuuming session. This lets you utilize the mopping function of the vacuum to remove the last traces of debris and dust left behind by the vacuuming. This is a nice feature that helps this robot clean a little better than its cheaper competitors.
