The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping robots and vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards.  automatic vacuum  can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective, but it's something you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house and also identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surface areas. These include corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to remember, however, that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. It has an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to keep specific areas of your home from being swept with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair that our cats shed, and even found its way into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was silent and also had a few nice jingles that signalled when it was about to start or completing its task.

The app was too basic and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a pain when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to turn off a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another potential downside is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in the market that is dominated by boxy models.
